As of this month over 100,000 HR professionals from over 180 countries have visited CompareHRIS.com and utilized our free HRIS selection and research tools. 184 countries; not bad considering that there are only 195 countries in the world. We’ve actually had 22 visits from Afghanistan and 11 from Iraq. 100,000 visits are hard to believe considering that we won’t reach our two year anniversary until February 17th. Even harder to believe is that two short years ago I did not know the first thing about how to get people to visit a website. I grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida whose entire population is 60,000 fewer than the number of visits CompareHRIS.com has seen in less than two years; amazing.

In the summer of 2007, I was in my tenth year as a HRIS HRMS software reseller. With that company, we sold, supported and implemented systems for a number of HRIS companies. I went online looking to compare and research additional HRIS vendors who offered products that we might be able to offer to our prospects.
What I found was the beginning of CompareHRIS.com. For the first time, I truly understood why it was so difficult for prospects to find a system matching their needs. After reviewing a large number of sites, I did not see any that provided enough detail to actually assist with the process. I had over 13 years of experience in the industry and I could not find enough information on any of the comparison sites to decide who I should or should not contact regarding partnership opportunities.
At that point, I began thinking about the concept of a HRIS HRMS comparison website. I did a little research, decided there was a need by vendors and prospects, and decided to create CompareHRIS.com. Since then, we have added tons of new HRIS articles and added vendors but the concept of offering a valuable website with enough detail to offer value for those looking for HRIS/HRMS software has remained the same.
