Once you\u2019ve made the monumental decision of what HRIS or\u00a0HRMS<\/a>\u00a0to purchase, there are subsequent decisions you will address during and\/or after the implementation process.\u00a0 One of the most important decisions you will make is what fields, if any, you choose to manually input into the newly selected HRIS.\u00a0 Unfortunately, any new\u00a0HR software<\/a>\u00a0application you select will be, more than likely, unable to import or accept all data currently held in your existing HRIS.\u00a0 This is just a fact of life.\u00a0 Therefore, as the HR expert, you will need to determine if you will derive a benefit worthy of the time it takes to manually input those fields of data into your new HRIS.<\/p>\n

This is where a \u201cCost versus Benefit\u201d mentality will be helpful.\u00a0 As far as that goes, this Accounting concept can help you in every day decision making.\u00a0 In a nutshell, you will be required to estimate the time it takes to manually input the perceived needed data (Cost) and review its perceived value (Benefit) against the cost of the time it takes to perform the manual input.<\/p>\n
